Synthesis gas, or syngas, is a versatile intermediate consisting primarily of hydrogen and carbon monoxide. Traditionally derived from fossil fuels, syngas is now being reimagined as a critical enabler of the net-zero transition. By producing syngas from renewable sources such as biomass or captured carbon dioxide, we can create a sustainable building block for a wide array of low-carbon fuels and chemicals.

The conversion of renewable syngas into valuable end products relies heavily on advanced catalytic processes, such as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. These technologies allow for the production of sustainable aviation fuels, renewable diesel, and essential chemical precursors without adding new carbon to the atmosphere.
